Jamboree Over The Internet (JOTI) / Jamboree Over The Air (JOTA)
What goes where?
There was much excitement from the Leaders as the big Marquee went up, as none of them had seen it up before, or were even sure that it was complete or serviceable. As it turned out the Marquee is in great condition making it a big asset that was much enjoyed by everyone at camp.
29 St. Augustine’s Cubs and Scouts came to JOTI JOTA at Brookfields.
Above is the “Bier’s” camp gate, and the overnighter’s just before it gets dark and the nights sing along at the campfire.
Atom made a hammock shelter for the night and ended up dryer than most of his friends in tents.
Birthdays over the weekend were celebrated with song and cake 🙂
Jamboree Over The Internet (JOTI) went on all night for those whom were night owls.Typing messages to fellow Scouts all over the world.
Balloons were all the rage, with relays and voly-balloon played with a bang or two.
Keas also got to know St.Augustine’s mascot: Augi a cuddly Tuatara lizard.
Memories are strong when formed through multiple senses. All of the Cubs, Scouts, and Leaders will fully remember the roar in their ears, the radiant heat on their cheeks, the smoke tickling their nostrils, and the bright flames captured in their eyes when Wainuiomata Fire Brigade demonstrated a tent ablaze.
The whole evening was kindly hosted by Wainuiomata Scout group (BRAVO).atom was here
